200 NCC Cadets Prepare for Statue of Unity Ceremony
Ahmedabad reports that a cohort of about 200 NCC cadets has commenced a rigorous ten‑day training regimen to ready themselves for participation in the National Unity Day parade at the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat. The initiative is overseen by the Gujarat NCC Directorate and includes collaborative sessions with the Border Security Force, Central Industrial Security Force, Sashastra Seema Bal and other central police formations.
The training emphasizes synchronized marching, flag handling, and basic security drills, aligning with the broader objective of instilling discipline and a sense of duty among India’s youth. Cadets from 22 different states will converge at the iconic monument, reflecting the nation’s pluralistic heritage.
Celebrated on October 31, the event honors Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s first Home Minister, whose vision of a united nation continues to inspire. The NCC’s involvement underscores its commitment to nurturing leadership, unity and patriotic values.
