In a glowing tribute to Odisha’s engineering prowess, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi celebrated the state’s sweep of 17 CIDC Vishwakarma Awards nationally. Posting on X on Sunday, he linked the success to the transformative vision of PM Narendra Modi and the synergy of the double-engine government.
‘This national recognition fills us with pride, showcasing Odisha’s excellence in engineering and commitment to superior governance,’ Majhi wrote. He congratulated the winners and spotlighted the stellar performance of government departments, which bagged 10 awards.
Leading the pack, the Water Resources Department earned five accolades for innovative irrigation initiatives that strengthen farming communities and rural economies. Majhi lauded the Works Department for cutting-edge health facilities and the Sports Department for elite sports infrastructure.
The CM dedicated these honors to the unsung heroes: engineers, architects, and laborers. ‘They are the true Vishwakarmas building a prosperous Odisha and advancing Viksit Bharat,’ he noted.
Wrapping up, Majhi reiterated, ‘We stand firm on our resolve for a developed Odisha, fueled by PM Modi’s leadership.’ This milestone underscores Odisha’s strategic investments in infrastructure, positioning it as a frontrunner in India’s growth story amid ongoing developmental leaps.
