State launches intensified vector‑control campaign in Chennai

The Greater Chennai Corporation has stepped up its anti‑mosquito drive across all 15 zones after intermittent showers created new breeding sites. Teams are visiting households to eliminate stagnant water, applying larvicides and conducting fogging operations. Over 26,000 health workers and 5,800 public and private health centres are now tracking fever trends and reporting cases daily.
