Rajasthan’s government sprang into action following the heartbreaking loss of young lives to a mysterious ailment in Salumbar. Launching a comprehensive disease control operation, authorities deployed 3,690 surveillance teams throughout the Udaipur division’s seven districts.

Under CM Bhajan Lal Sharma’s orders, specialist squads are investigating the illness’s origins, while large-scale monitoring and preventive steps are underway. Health Minister Gajendra Singh Kheenvsar remains hands-on with the crisis management.

RNT Medical College experts and state representatives toured impacted zones, evaluating the scenario and streamlining diagnostic and therapeutic protocols.

According to Principal Secretary Gayatri Rathore, the teams surveyed over 52,000 homes, spotting 275 symptomatic cases—25 of whom were referred to tertiary care centers. Information drives engaged 13,000+ venues to spread vital health messages.

Dr. Ravi Prakash Sharma, Public Health Director, verified a four-year-old’s demise in Semari village. Field treatments addressed 651 cases division-wide on Tuesday.

To curb vector-borne threats, anti-larval activities targeted 2,557 locations. Labs processed 1,796 blood slides and 94 collected samples.

Emphasizing community cooperation, officials call for prompt symptom reporting and adherence to protocols. The situation is under tight watch, with resources poised for immediate deployment as needed.
