Online and Physical Verification Mandatory Under Jharkhand’s New Admission SOP
Jharkhand’s latest SOP introduces a two‑tier verification system for candidates applying to medical, dental, homeopathic and AYUSH colleges. First, all caste, income, local‑resident and disability certificates will be cross‑checked on official online portals.
If any document is flagged as dubious, it will be forwarded to the district Deputy Commissioner for a mandatory physical inspection. The district authorities are required to complete the verification and provide a report within ten days. During this window, the applicant will receive only a provisional seat.
State‑level committees, consisting of RIMS officials, Health Department members and special JEE officers, will oversee the process. Parallel institutional committees, chaired by college heads and including admission officers, will conduct a second review of the original certificates.
The SOP also mandates the secure archiving of all digital and printed documents, enabling future reference and audits. The framework applies to all government and private medical, dental, homeopathic, Ayurvedic and Unani institutions in the state.
