NHRIMH to Expand Neurological and Psychiatric Research Facilities

The committee reached consensus on prioritising the strengthening of NHRIMH’s research ecosystem. Plans include broadening research programmes, modernising laboratory infrastructure and establishing advanced experimental and mechanical facilities focused on neurological and psychiatric disorders. Proposals were examined for upgrading equipment, improving data acquisition systems and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations. The board also discussed the need for additional human resources, enhanced funding mechanisms and robust quality control to sustain high‑impact research outcomes.
