Natco Pharma Reports 44.7% Revenue Decline in FY26‑27 Q1
In its first‑quarter filing for FY 2026‑27, Natco Pharma Ltd recorded a 44.7 percent drop in revenue, amounting to Rs 735.2 crore, compared with Rs 1,328.9 crore in the same quarter last year. The decline was traced to weaker sales of the generic anticancer drug lenalidomide, which significantly reduced the company's top‑line performance.
Net profit on a comparable‑company basis tumbled 57 percent to Rs 206.5 crore from Rs 480.3 crore a year ago. EBITDA fell 67.4 percent to Rs 186 crore, pushing the EBITDA margin down to 25.3 percent from 43 percent.
Cost control measures trimmed operating expenses to Rs 608.8 crore from Rs 818.7 crore, showing the company's effort to manage outlays amid falling sales. Domestic formulation sales grew to Rs 136.4 crore, while international formulation revenues slumped to Rs 477.1 crore from Rs 1,120.9 crore.
The board approved an interim dividend of Rs 1.50 per equity share and cleared a proposal to raise up to Rs 2,000 crore through qualified institutional placement and other permissible channels to fund future growth.
