Meghalaya's latest health drive focuses on non‑communicable disease (NCD) prevention, detection and management through three Mobile Medical Units. The units will operate in Mawpat (about 45 villages), Pinursala (26 villages) and Baghmara (22 villages), delivering regular health checks, early diagnosis and continuous care for chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and cancer. Equipped with technology‑based health interventions, the vans also support community‑specific health actions, including eye‑care services. Chief Minister Sangma emphasized that the true measure of success will be the impact on patients rather than the ceremony of the launch.
