Kota hospital reports new fatal kidney cases after recent C‑section deliveries
Jaipur, 16 October – New Medical College Hospital in Kota has reported two fresh deaths linked to kidney complications after cesarean deliveries. Reshma’s condition declined rapidly after surgery, leading her relatives to transfer her to a private ICU. Anita was admitted to the ICU of the hospital’s super‑specialty block.
These cases revive memories of a similar incident five months ago, when twelve women developed renal failure after cesarean sections, and five of them died. The exact trigger for the current kidney failures remains unknown, pending further clinical evaluation.
The repeat of such severe outcomes has raised alarms about the institution’s postnatal care standards, prompting authorities to review and strengthen monitoring procedures.
