India Funds New Two‑Storey Emergency Unit at Mannar Hospital

Construction began on September 16 for a two‑level accident and emergency wing at Mannar District General Hospital, a project fully financed by a grant of 60 crore Sri Lankan rupees from New Delhi. The inauguration, attended by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Health Minister Nalinda Jayatissa and High Commissioner Santosh Jha, will provide essential medical equipment and ensure rapid response during the "golden hour" of trauma care.
