During the senior officials' review, it was suggested that the construction of the new 150‑bed and 80‑bed blocks within the Tura Civil Hospital campus be accelerated and the facilities opened for patient care. This move would allow the broader healthcare infrastructure being built in the Garo Hills to start benefiting the local population even if the medical college itself is not yet fully operational. The expanded hospital capacity is also slated to function as the teaching hospital for the future college, addressing both immediate health needs and long‑term educational requirements.
