Health Officials Warn of Growing Swine Flu, Dengue and Malaria Threats
Officials from the district health authority have raised concerns after reporting twelve new swine flu infections and three fresh dengue cases in Gautam Buddha Nagar. The cumulative tally now stands at 232 swine flu patients, 60 dengue victims and 44 malaria sufferers. In response, the department issued strict directives to hospitals to maintain ready‑to‑use beds, essential medicines, and rapid testing capabilities. Physicians note that the lingering moisture after heavy rains creates an environment conducive to both viral illnesses and mosquito‑borne diseases. The public is urged to practice strict hygiene, avoid standing water, and seek medical consultation promptly if fever, persistent cough, or severe body aches develop.
