Health Officials Rush to Treat Hundreds Affected by Khagaria Prasad Incident

Following a Satyanarayan puja in Hiyadatpur village, Khagaria district saw an unprecedented surge of sick individuals. More than 165 villagers reported to the district hospital after consuming the prasad served at the event. Symptoms ranged from gastrointestinal distress in children to vertigo and fatigue in adults. Hospital manager Pranav Kumar confirmed that ambulances were dispatched as soon as the situation was reported, and medical teams remained on duty well past midnight to manage the influx. The health department has deployed a special task force to gather evidence, test the food samples and monitor the patients' progress, while the community remains on high alert.
