Health Minister Visits Lady Hardinge After Delhi Clashes, 83 Treated
Union Health Minister JP Nadda arrived at Lady Hardinge Medical College on the night of July 21 to personally monitor the condition of 83 patients admitted after the city’s recent clashes. Dr. Himani Ahluwalia confirmed that the hospital’s doctors, nurses and support staff responded swiftly, providing immediate care to both protesters and police officers. While most patients were discharged after confirming stable vitals, a single individual with more serious injuries remains hospitalized. Nadda questioned the administrative staff on emergency preparedness, the number of arrivals, and the coordination among medical teams. He also met the patient still in the ward, assuring continued governmental aid for any further treatment needs.
