Gujarat’s New De‑Addiction Initiative Targets Substance Abuse

Guided by Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, Gujarat has sanctioned 14.90 crore rupees for FY 2026‑27 to roll out de‑addiction centres in all 34 district hospitals. Each centre will host 15 beds and offer scientific detox, addiction treatment, mental‑health counseling, family support and rehabilitation.
