Empty staff quarters and vacant land reviewed for better use

While touring the hospital premises, the commissioner noted several unoccupied staff accommodations and an adjacent vacant plot. She directed the urban development and health departments to compile a comprehensive dossier of all past communications, proposals and decisions related to these assets.

The purpose of the request is to evaluate options for repurposing the spaces, potentially to expand patient wards, create additional medical facilities, or generate revenue for the hospitals.

Officials were asked to submit the compiled information promptly, enabling the municipal corporation to take informed decisions on optimal utilization of the properties.
