Detailed Report: Treatment and Hospitalization Stats for Tribal Outbreak in MP

Following the extensive health survey in Balaghat's tribal block, officials released a comprehensive breakdown of treatment outcomes. Out of the 798 patients diagnosed with malaria, diarrhoea, fever‑related rashes or skin conditions, 569 received medication at home under the supervision of community health volunteers.

The remaining 229 patients were admitted to district hospitals for closer monitoring. By the end of the reporting period, 201 of those admitted had recovered and been discharged, while 28 continued to receive inpatient care. Twelve new admissions were recorded on Sunday, and five patients were released after completing their treatment courses.

Health teams are employing a precautionary admission policy, placing patients in hospitals even when symptoms appear mild, to avoid sudden deterioration. This approach is designed to keep the fatality rate low while allowing medical staff to closely track disease progression.

Authorities reaffirm that house‑to‑house surveys will persist, with rapid response units ready to dispatch patients to hospitals whenever necessary. The ongoing surveillance is aimed at preventing a wider spread of the outbreak in the region.
