Delhi Reports Over 3,000 Influenza Cases, Officials Urge Calm

Delhi's health authorities have announced that the combined tally of H1N1 and other influenza infections now exceeds 3,000 cases. The Health Ministry, led by Pankaj Kumar Singh, confirmed that the majority of those infected have recovered and are back home after receiving treatment.

The minister emphasized that the current wave resembles a seasonal flu outbreak, with typical symptoms such as fever, body aches, and malaise. He asked citizens to avoid spreading alarm and to seek medical attention at government hospitals if they experience any of these signs. All hospitals are prepared with isolation rooms, adequate medical gear, and round‑the‑clock staffing to handle any emerging complications.

Continuous inspections by departmental teams are underway to verify that hospitals maintain required standards. The focus remains on delivering timely care and preserving sufficient capacity within the public health system.
