Building Collapse in Delhi Claims Seven Lives, Cornea Donation Offers Hope

New Delhi, 7 September – A devastating structural failure in the Satyaneekatan area left seven people dead, including five college students and two laborers. All victims were transferred to AIIMS JPN Apex Trauma Centre, where twelve injured individuals were admitted. Six were declared dead upon arrival and a seventh patient passed away during treatment. Four patients continue to receive care, three stable and one serious. Relatives of two deceased have decided to donate their corneas, potentially restoring sight for those suffering from corneal blindness.
