The health department warned that any centre that does not provide a satisfactory reply within the stipulated seven‑day period, or that refuses to cooperate with the ongoing inquiry, will face one‑sided enforcement action. This warning applies to all 19 facilities that have been served with notices, emphasizing the seriousness of non‑compliance.
Under Section 65(1) of the Mental Healthcare Act, operating a mental health institution without proper registration is illegal, and the department is prepared to enforce the law strictly.
