Air India chief meets officials, probe continues over drug‑positive pilot

Senior officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, including Secretary Samir Kumar Sinha, Director General Vira Vikram Yadav and Accident Investigation Bureau chief G.V.G. Yagandhar, convened a meeting with Air India CEO Campbell Wilson on Tuesday. The discussion focused on the findings of the drug test, the turbulence episode on August 4, and the broader safety implications. Tata Sons’ executive advisor Pradeep Singh Khrola and Air India’s flight‑safety head Deepak Joshi also attended. The ministry has called for detailed briefings from three senior Air India executives to assess the incident and determine any further regulatory action.
