The final process of making organic manure by adding Australian earthworms has started in the Gothans of Basin of Sakti development block of Janjgir-Champa district and the village Basantpur of Baloda development block. After a few days, organic manure will start to be prepared in these plants. With this, the income of women groups will increase and they will become economically strong and self-sufficient.

The Australian earthworm prepared by Beehan’s Gange Maia self-help group, Behradih has been put up with the help of Master Trainer Deen Dayal Yadav at Vermi Taka for Vermi Compost by Rishikwar and Arun Yadav, ADO of Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Under Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s ambitious Narva, Garwa, Ghurwa aur Bari scheme, Gauthans are being built across the state under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana where cow dung is being collected and purchased as well as door to door in cities under Clean India Mission Clean City Waste and dry waste are being collected separately at the SLRM center by collecting garbage.

In this regard, Deendayal Yadav said that it is necessary to have cow dung at least 1 week old to make high quality vermi compost. The same is being made by making the West de Composer and Jeevamrit to make good manure within 45 days. Along with this, complete information is being given about the management of earthworms properly and ways of packaging the compost. He informed that the vermi compost being prepared by the women of the group will be sold directly in the service cooperative societies at the rate of Rs 8 per kg.
