Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh: The pace of industrialization accelerated due to industry-friendly policy

It is the result of rapid industrial development in Chhattisgarh that in the last three years, a total of 1751 units of large, medium, mega, micro and small industries have been established. A total capital investment of Rs 19 thousand 550 crore 72 lakh has been made by these industrial groups. Due to which 32 thousand 912 people have got employment opportunities in these units. Under the able leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel and under the guidance of Industries Minister Shri Kawasi Lakhma, a better environment has been created for the development and investment of industries in the state. With the new industrial policy of the state government, priority has been given to agriculture and forest produce based industries. All kinds of incentives are being given to mineral based industries. Under the new industrial policy, a special incentive package has been arranged for investment in mega-ultra projects in the steel (sponge iron and steel) sector. Investment incentive up to a maximum of Rs 500 crore is being given in this package for mega investment. 1000 crore investment incentive is being given for Bastar division. Not only discounts and facilities are being given to the investors, but care has also been taken that industries can be easily established in the state. For this the procedures have been simplified. The land cost for allotment of land in industrial areas has been reduced by 30 percent. The land rent has been reduced by one percent. Rules have been made for lease-free holding of allotted land up to 10 acres in industrial areas. Industrial land and building management rules have been simplified. During the lockdown of the Corona crisis, the whole country was affected by the economic slowdown, in such a situation the industry in Chhattisgarh was not untouched. Despite all this, during the tenure of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, 8 big industries were set up in which 132 and 409 skilled category employees and 432 unskilled category employees are working under the management. 430 crore 34 lakh has been invested by these industrial clusters. In 33 medium scale industries, 322 employees are employed under management and 868 skilled category and 1249 unskilled employees are employed. 303 crore 75 lakh rupees have been invested in medium scale industries. In four mega category industries, 387 employees are employed under management and 1635 skilled and 364 unskilled employees are employed. One thousand 388 crore 80 lakh rupees have been invested in these industries. There are 344 management employees and 707 skilled and 1125 unskilled employees are employed in 292 industries of micro category industries. 130 crore 73 lakh rupees have been invested in the above industries. 839 employees are working in management and 1871 skilled and 3415 unskilled employees are working in 494 different small scale industries.
