Yami Gautam Visits Patna Sahib Gurudwara for 'Nai Naveli' Pre‑Release Ceremony
Yami Gautam travelled to Patna on October 3 to attend a pre‑release ceremony at the revered Patna Sahib Gurudwara for her upcoming picture “Nai Naveli”. The actress was greeted by enthusiastic fans, with the rhythmic sound of dhols creating a festive atmosphere. Inside the holy shrine, she spent a few quiet moments, bowing her head in reverence and requesting blessings for the film’s box‑office run.
While at the gurudwara, Gautam opened up about her first day on set, highlighting the demanding choreography of the blockbuster track “Bhabhi Tabahi”. She was tasked with performing six distinct dance styles, from lively Bhangra sequences to a classic moonwalk. Director Balaji Mohan’s light‑hearted comment, “Do what feels right, just add a little moonwalk,” initially caught her off guard but later turned into a fun challenge.
The trailer, unveiled a month ago, shows a fresh bride bringing calm to a dysfunctional Meerut family, only to face accusations from her brother‑in‑law who thinks she might be a ‘demon’. Described as a hybrid of family comedy and fantasy adventure, “Nai Naveli” is Balaji Mohan’s first Bollywood directorial venture. The screenplay, crafted by Himanshu Sharma and Divya Nidhi Sharma, is produced by Anand El Ray and Himanshu Sharma, with a theatrical release scheduled for October 16.
