Television star Rubina Dilaik is pushing back against outdated notions that grandparents should retire from family responsibilities. In recent remarks, she clarified that her parents and in-laws are happy to remain deeply involved in raising her twin daughters Jeeva and Idha, and she sees their participation as vital rather than burdensome. While Rubina manages her acting commitments from Mumbai, the children stay with her parents in Shimla. Online critics suggested that elderly relatives deserve rest instead of childcare duties. Rubina countered that her mother views time with the granddaughters as a renewed sense of purpose, not an obligation. She added that her husband’s parents willingly travel from Ludhiana to assist whenever required. Rubina stressed the importance of family unity, noting that Abhinav Shukla provides exceptional support both as a father and partner. She believes the collective effort of grandparents, parents, and extended family creates a nurturing environment. The actress concluded that external opinions hold little weight when all family members are content with their roles.
