‘Vishwaguru’ could mark Mukesh Khanna’s major comeback, says star
Mumbai, 4 October – Speaking to IANS, Mukesh Khanna expressed confidence that ‘Vishwaguru’ may become the biggest film of his career after the cult classic ‘Sensor’. He highlighted that the project stood out because of its compelling narrative about a foreign coalition’s attempt to dominate India and the consequent rise of spiritual leadership as a defensive force. “I was attracted to the subject from day one. After three thorough meetings with the makers, I decided to join,” Khanna said. He also noted the expectation to perform his lines in Hindi, which he embraced given the story’s cultural depth. Known for his unforgettable portrayals in ‘Shaktiman’ and ‘Bheeshma Pitamah’, Khanna added that audiences have been waiting for a substantial role, and ‘Vishwaguru’ could satisfy that demand. The film is directed by Shailesh Bogani and Atul Sonar, and promises to blend action with a message of India’s spiritual resilience.
