Unity Over Division: Pavitra Punia's Message

Mumbai, October 26: Actress Pavitra Punia has urged people to respect all religions and preserve unity in the country. She has also expressed concern about the effect of protests in India on business and the influence of social media influencers on Gen Z.

In an Instagram video, the actress spoke about reports of a loss of Rs 3,000 crore during the festive season. She said such reports are often ridiculed by people who do not know the facts behind them.

Punia said she had described the protests as wrong from the very first time and had said she was against them. She noted that everyone has seen how the protests have hit the market and business. According to her, the figure being cited is a loss of Rs 3,000 crore during the festival period, and people laughed at it without thinking.

She stressed that people need to treat these matters seriously. Asking viewers to consider those struggling to survive on daily earnings, she questioned whether their actions were truly helping to save or strengthen the country. She said the current situation is far from where the journey was meant to begin.

On the economy, Punia asked people to pause before laughing at any video. If someone warns that the country could face economic and other problems in the future, she said, there is likely a reason behind the warning. She advised people to think, understand, discuss, and only then speak.

Punia said she felt sorry for Gen Z, claiming that fabricated narratives were brainwashing them. She observed that young people are highly intelligent and aware of Sanatan and events across the world, yet they are still affected by such messages. She said it is sad, and asked influencers to stop shaping the thinking of Gen Z.

On the subject of religion, she described herself as a proud Hindu and said she had received comments from Muslims. She told them she had no issues with people of any faith. She claimed the idea of divide and rule was introduced by some people and said her community does not believe in it.

Punia pointed to her neighbourhood, where many Muslims live and everyone stays together peacefully, with no one going to another's home to cause violence. She concluded by urging people to love their own faith and respect the faith of others, saying India is a nation bound by unity and must remain so.
