Two snakes spotted at Shahrukh Khan’s residence, one captured safely

Security personnel at Shahrukh Khan’s Mumbai mansion, Mannat, reported the presence of two snakes on August 18. The first snake, an eight‑foot long dharman rat snake, was quickly located in a garden shed after a guard raised the alarm. The Maharashtra Forest Department’s rescue squad, headed by Vicky Dubey, arrived promptly and secured the animal using standard handling techniques.

The dharman, often referred to as the Indian rat snake, poses no venom threat and is generally considered harmless. After confirming its species, the team released the snake back into a safe, remote area away from the residential compound.

The second snake, seen by the same guard moments later, vanished before the rescue crew could intervene. Forest officials believe the reptile likely found an exit route through the bungalow’s perimeter.

Mannat is presently undergoing repair work, which has forced the actor and his family to relocate temporarily to an apartment in Bandra. This incident follows a similar snake sighting at Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments earlier this year, underscoring a rising trend of wildlife entering high‑profile urban homes.
