How Tusshar Kapoor balances career and parenting as a solo dad
During an interview on August 9, Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor opened up about juggling his film commitments with single‑parent duties. Since becoming a father through surrogacy in 2016, the star has crafted a routine that merges professional and personal responsibilities.
He fondly recalled Lakshya’s first encounter with a vanity van on a shooting location, where the toddler’s excitement turned the set into a playground. "Seeing his smile made the hectic schedule worthwhile," Kapoor said.
Kapoor emphasizes that he personally handles most of Lakshya’s day‑to‑day needs: from carrying him to parks, arranging birthday celebrations, to organizing vaccinations. While a team assists behind the scenes, the actor prefers to oversee critical decisions himself.
Education remains a priority; the actor monitors school performance and participates in parent‑teacher meetings. As Lakshya ages, the young man is beginning to take charge of simple chores, easing the father’s load.
When questioned about the pressures of solo parenting, Kapoor dismissed the notion of burden, describing fatherhood as a rewarding journey. "At 40, I chose this path knowingly and embraced it with enthusiasm," he noted.
He summed up the experience by calling Lakshya’s arrival a divine blessing that gave his life a fresh direction and deeper meaning.
