Police Custody Till November 6 for Tiger Shroff Firing Accused
The investigation into the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff has taken a fresh turn with the arrest of Amar Suresh Mundedia, the 12th accused in the case. Mumbai police detained him in Haryana, and a Sessions Court in Mumbai has ordered that he be kept in police custody until November 6.
Investigators say Amar's role centers on online transactions. Police suspect that money moved through digital channels was used to arrange logistics for the attack, including buying a motorcycle and booking hotel rooms.
The arrest took place in Rohna village of Sonipat district in Haryana. Mumbai police carried out the operation together with local authorities. Amar had known Kunal, who was arrested earlier, and the two had exchanged money before the incident.
A review of bank records flagged suspicious transfers. Kunal sent Rs 40,000 to Amar's account, after which Amar transferred Rs 12,000 to the account of Radha, another accused. Police are now examining the source of these funds and their use in the case.
The key questions for investigators are who instructed Amar to move the money and what exactly his role was in the firing plot. Detailed questioning during custody is expected to provide answers.
Tiger Shroff's car was fired upon on October 18 in the Juhu area of Mumbai as he was leaving a football club. Two men on a motorcycle fired several rounds. The actor was unharmed, but his driver and another bystander were injured. With Amar's arrest, the total number of accused taken into custody has risen to 12.
