Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films is recognized for revitalizing this genre with its ‘Horror Comedy Universe.’ ‘Thama’ is slated to join this universe, following the success of previous films such as ‘Stree,’ ‘Bhediya,’ ‘Munjya,’ and ‘Stree 2.’
Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in the main roles, ‘Thama’ has finally received an exciting update after its initial announcement in 2024. The teaser for ‘Thama’ is scheduled to be released on August 19, 2025.

The movie also features Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles. While specific plot details for ‘Thama’ remain undisclosed, the film is rumored to depict the story of a vampire.
Upcoming movies within the Maddock Horror Universe include Shakti Shalini, Bhediya 2, Chamunda, Stree 3, Maha Munjya, Pehla Mahayudh, and Doosra Mahayudh. Kiara Advani is reportedly set to star in ‘Shakti Shalini.’ ‘Bhediya 2’ will see Varun Dhawan’s return to the franchise, but Kriti Sanon’s involvement remains uncertain. Additionally, there are rumors that Alia Bhatt will join this horror universe with ‘Chamunda.’
