Sunita Ahuja Stands Firm: ‘Even If Govinda Had 50 Affairs, I’d Stay’

Mumbai, July 13 – In an eye‑opening segment of the reality program “Lock Up: Sach Ya Saza,” Sunita Ahuja addressed lingering speculation about her husband Govinda’s personal life. She declared unequivocally that even a tally of fifty affairs would never change her decision to remain his partner.

Speaking openly with Shilpa Shinde and Ram Kapoor, she said, “Look at the situation from my perspective; you’ll understand my feelings. He is my husband, and no one can comment on my family’s matters. If he were to have fifty affairs, it would not affect anyone else. He is my husband, and I am his wife.”

The statement quickly went viral, generating mixed reactions. While a segment of the audience applauded the couple’s steadfast devotion, others raised concerns about the message it conveys regarding marital expectations.

When pressed by IANS about any possible regret, Sunita answered plainly, “I have no regrets about what I said. It came from my heart, and I still stand by those words today.”

She also reflected on the couple’s four‑decade‑long marriage, noting that mutual trust is the cornerstone of a genuine relationship. “If love is true, like ours, you must have confidence in your bond. Trust is the biggest strength of a sincere marriage. No one can ever replace a wife; a wife stays a wife.”

Govinda and Sunita have been married since 1987 and are the proud parents of daughter Tina Ahuja and son Yashvardhan Ahuja. Their relationship continues to be a focal point of Bollywood’s social discourse.
