Indrajit Lankesh’s latest venture, *Jai Hind Jai Sindh – A Love Story*, arrives at a time when digital platforms dominate public discourse. In an interview with IANS, the director reflected on his early career as a journalist, noting the shift from a media landscape controlled by a handful of voices to one where every individual can broadcast opinions.

Lankesh believes that this democratisation is crucial for a film that tackles the under‑represented Sindhi narrative. By leveraging social networks, the project can reach young Indians who might otherwise be unaware of the community’s post‑Partition hardships.

He warned, however, that the same tools can amplify misinformation if misused. Nevertheless, he commended the ability of a villager to share his story worldwide, calling it the essence of true freedom of expression.

The director reiterated his message of unity, urging citizens to transcend religious or regional divides. He portrayed India’s diversity as a strength that should be celebrated, not weaponised, especially by the upcoming generation.
