Sippy had already earned a reputation as a reliable producer, delivering hits such as “Brahmachari,” “Sita Aur Geeta,” and “Shan.” The ultimate milestone arrived in 1975 when his son Ramesh Sippy directed “Sholay,” a film that redefined the action‑adventure genre and became an enduring cultural icon.
