Shiva Rituals and Paintings Mark Amitabh Bachchan's Birth Anniversary in Prayagraj

On the occasion of Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday, Prayagraj hosted a unique blend of spirituality and artistic homage at the historic Dashashwamedh Ghat. Devotees performed a dedicated Shiva puja, offering water, flowers, and prayers for the veteran actor’s continued well‑being.

The ritual coincided with a cultural showcase where fan‑artist Poonam Kishore displayed her latest painting of the celebrated star. The artwork, inspired by Bachchan’s poetry and cinematic style, was unveiled to the audience after the puja, merging devotional fervor with visual storytelling.

Kishore explained that her connection with Bachchan began in 2011 when she met him on the set of "Kaun Banega Crorepati." Since then, she has translated his literary influences into vibrant canvases, often referencing poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s verses. Her newest piece incorporates the symbolism of the "Madhushala" collection, illustrating the actor’s deep cultural roots.

The event attracted locals, tourists, and cinephiles who gathered to celebrate the legend’s birth anniversary while honoring Lord Shiva, underscoring the intertwined nature of faith and fandom in Indian society.
