Feeling Blessed: Shaan's Karwa Chauth Tribute to Radhika

On Karwa Chauth, singer Shaan turned the spotlight on his wife, Radhika Mukherjee, with a touching note that celebrates her faith and devotion.

As in previous years, Shaan observed the festival and chose to honour Radhika publicly. He lauded her for keeping the fast with complete commitment, calling her dedication remarkable.

In an Instagram video, Radhika is seen performing the Karwa Chauth puja while Shaan stands next to her. He noted that the video marks the 26th Karwa Chauth that Radhika has observed.

His message stated that Radhika has not skipped even one Karwa Chauth since their wedding in 2000. Shaan admitted that embracing the custom took him a little time. Still, after seeing her go through the day without water while remaining calm and strong in her convictions, he said he feels lucky to have such a caring and selfless partner.

Shaan and Radhika Mukherjee first crossed paths in the 1990s, either at a party thrown by a mutual friend or at a pool parlour. Radhika, who is six years younger, was 18 and Shaan was 24 at the time.

What started as a friendship slowly turned into a deep romance. Shaan, who is known to be shy, chose a special setting to propose. He took Radhika to the beach, knelt down and made his proposal. Radhika accepted right away.

The couple got married in November 2000 and are parents to sons Soham and Shubh. In November 2025, they marked their silver jubilee, celebrating 25 years together.
