From school ties to big‑screen: Bhavana Pani’s journey with Hirani Films

Actress Bhavana Pani recently reflected on her career path that interweaves school connections, advertising work, and a prominent role in the series “Preetam and Pedro.”

The series, a cyber‑crime comedy‑thriller, debuted on July 3, 2026, and Pani’s cameo, though brief, is described as essential to the plot’s turning point. She received the audition invitation from director Abhinav Arun and associate director Rituja after they learned the show was produced by Rajkumar Hirani’s company.

Pani recalled that Hirani had edited her first feature film “Tere Liye,” establishing a supportive rapport that made the recent collaboration feel seamless. “Working with him again is a proud moment, akin to re‑uniting with a mentor,” she said.

During filming, she encountered producer Sahil Khosla, a senior from her school days, reinforcing the sense of returning to a familiar team. Earlier, she had featured in a commercial directed by Shimit Amin under Hirani Films, further cementing her ties with the studio.

Looking ahead, Pani disclosed that a new movie will hit theaters in September, and several digital series are in post‑production. She expressed enthusiasm about exploring directing opportunities alongside acting, calling it a “dynamic and exciting period” in her professional life.
