Sawant Discusses Defensive Approach and Handling Different Personalities on New Reality Show

Veerendra Sawant, now the presenter of the second season of “Rise and Fall,” spoke about the defensive side of his cricketing career while answering questions about the show’s format. He clarified that he had indeed played a protective innings during periods of adversity, showcasing patience and technique rather than outright aggression.

When asked about managing contestants with varying temperaments, Sawant drew a parallel to his cricket days, where he faced opponents ranging from disciplined professionals to erratic bowlers. He said the key is to recognize each individual’s nature – some require encouragement, others a firm reprimand, and a few need a calm, measured dialogue.

“The challenge lies in reading the room and responding appropriately,” he explained. “If life offers no challenges, it loses its excitement.”

Sawant added that his experience dealing with diverse personalities on the field equips him to handle the eclectic mix of participants on the reality series, where strategy, alliances, and shifting dynamics are central to the competition.
