Satyejit Puri Calls Nana Patekar a Unique Hero of Indian Cinema

Satyejit Puri described Nana Patekar as one of the most distinctive heroes ever to grace Indian screens. In his Instagram tribute, Puri noted that Patekar forged his own path with intense, raw performances that differed from the conventional Bollywood protagonist. He highlighted Patekar’s five‑decade career, mentioning standout roles in "Agni Sakshi" and "Natsamrat" that cemented his legacy as an actor‑artist rather than a typical film star. Puri’s words emphasized how rare such talent is in the industry.
