Salman Khan Presents Keys to 50+ Families at SRA ICT Facility Inauguration

Mumbai, 18 July — In a high‑profile visit to the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) office, Salman Khan inaugurated the new Information Technology Support Centre, a cutting‑edge data collection and verification hub. The centre is expected to enhance the authority’s digital workflow, ensuring greater security and openness in its operations.

The actor used the platform to distribute keys for permanent housing to more than fifty slum‑rehabilitation beneficiaries. Recipients beamed with happiness as they accepted the keys, a moment witnessed by Dr. Mahendra Kalyankar, SRA’s chief executive officer.

Khan also introduced the SRA coffee‑table book, a richly illustrated publication that details the authority’s initiatives, success narratives of rehabilitated families, ongoing infrastructure projects and key performance indicators. The book is marketed as an essential resource for citizens, partners and policy makers.

The visit reflects the state’s resolve to modernise the slum‑rehabilitation mission through advanced technology, transparent administration and a citizen‑first approach. Khan was briefed on SRA’s various schemes and expressed satisfaction with the progress.

Apart from his film commitments, Salman Khan has a long‑standing record of social service, supporting health camps, educational programmes, child welfare drives and aid for the needy.
