Family’s Multi‑Religious Ganesh Festival Highlights Salman’s Light‑Hearted Mood
Salman Khan was spotted in a buoyant frame during the Ganesh Visarjan held at his brother Sohail Khan’s home in Bandra West on September 16. Dressed in a sleek black tee, a matching head covering and a grey sleeveless jacket, the star moved through the event with a relaxed demeanor.
The gathering, a hallmark of the Khans’ multi‑religious household, saw Salman greeting a photographer and later chatting with a child and the child’s parents. While performing the Ganesh aarti, he briefly placed the ritual plate facing the wrong direction. His sister Arpita Khan Sharma immediately pointed out the oversight, prompting Salman to adjust the plate on the spot.
The celebration was surrounded by family, close friends and several guests, all participating in the traditional prayers. This yearly ritual reflects the blend of Hindu and Muslim heritage within the Khan family, a tradition started decades ago by their mother, Salma Khan, and sustained by the entire household.
