Ruffalo Demands Cybersecurity Safeguards for Midterm Voting

During the “Hands of Our Vote” rally, Mark Ruffalo shifted focus to the technical side of election integrity. He referenced Elon Musk while discussing the need to anticipate cyber threats that may not yet be visible. Ruffalo admitted he is not an expert but has consulted with specialists who warn that the transmission of votes—from polling booths to county headquarters and onward to state centers—creates opportunities for tampering. He called on lawmakers and election officials to prioritize cybersecurity reforms before the November 3 midterms, describing the issue as a critical component of a free and fair election.
