Rohit Sharma’s Early Days Recalled by Sunil Shetty on Family Full House

On the set of "Family Full House with Rohit Sharma," the film star shared anecdotes about the cricketer’s formative years. Shetty said he first encountered Rohit at the age of 16‑17, noting a striking similarity to the late Sir Vivian Richards. He also described his own cricket‑centred upbringing, mentioning trips to an Indo‑American club to view fast‑bowling tapes when television coverage was scarce. "My mind has played countless matches, sometimes more than the players themselves," Shetty said, adding that Rohit’s batting temperament still reminds him of the iconic West Indian great.
