Music Composer Rohit Kohli Talks Emotional Journey of New Love Ballad

Rohit Kohli, the composer behind the heart‑warming single “Jaaney Kis Mod Pe,” explains the creative process that led to the song’s emotional core. The piece was designed to mirror the uncertain excitement that arises when a person meets their first crush after a long separation.

Kohli says the music needed to balance optimism with a hint of tremor, using layered strings, subtle synths, and a warm vocal backdrop to capture that mood. “It feels like a road trip without a map— you never know what the ending holds, but the journey itself is full of feelings,” he notes.

Singer Darshan Rawal adds his voice as the bridge between the lyrical nostalgia and the musical atmosphere, delivering warmth and sincerity. Lyricist Gurpreet Saini kept the wording straightforward, allowing the audience to instantly relate to the characters’ anticipation of friendship turning into romance during a school reunion.

The track is part of the film “Pehla Pyaar Dusri Baar,” directed by Anuj Saini, produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The movie, featuring a fresh ensemble cast, will hit Indian cinemas on October 23, with the song already available on T-Series Music.
