Reality TV Drama: Chamola Addresses Gaurav Khanna and Comfort Zone Claims
Akanksha Chamola, a television actress who participated in the second season of "Lockdown," chose August 6 in Mumbai to set the record straight about her remarks involving husband Gaurav Khanna. The actress refuted the portrayal that she called him a "comfort zone."
Chamola told reporters, “I wanted the audience to meet people who genuinely make me comfortable, like family members or even a dog. Gaurav, while my husband, does not fit that description, especially as we are working toward a divorce.”
The controversy stemmed from a segment where Khanna arrived on set, after which Chamola hinted at an upcoming guest who would provide the sense of belonging she craved – she even joked that a dog could fulfil that role.
She also reiterated that she had previously disclosed a year‑long separation from Khanna and that both are bisexual, a fact known to her spouse.
The show, hosted by Ritesh Deshmukh and Farah Khan, also showcased Shilpa Shinde, Yogesh Rawat, Sunita Ahujha, Ram Kapoor, Shivangi Joshi, Harshad Chopda, among others. Shreya Kalra clinched the trophy, beating Shivangi Joshi and Yogesh Rawat to win the season’s one‑crore‑rupee prize.
