Ravi Kishan Returns with Devotional Drama Mera Yaar Bajrangi
Mumbai, October 27: Actor and politician Ravi Kishan is set to return with a new devotional drama titled 'Mera Yaar Bajrangi - Dosti Ho Toh Aisi'. The film will reach cinemas on Diwali next year, according to an announcement made by Mahavir Jain Films on Tuesday.
The announcement introduced both the film's title and its release window, marking the start of its promotional journey.
The poster offers a bold new visual identity for the project. It shows two hands coming together in a divine setting. One of them is the hand of an ordinary man, decorated with a rudraksha bead and a raksha sutra. The other is the hand of Bajrang Bali, carrying a Shri Ram patka and a rudraksha garland. Between the hands, a divine glow is visible, which neatly conveys the film's tagline, 'Dosti Ho Toh Aisi'.
A source associated with the film explained its emotional core. 'This is not only a religious movie. It explores the connection between a devotee and God. Today, people are longing for a true companion. What if Bajrang Bali became your closest friend? The film is built around that thought.'
Ravi Kishan will portray a simple yet devoted believer, a character quite different from his previous roles. The film has been written and directed by Amit Aryan. Mahavir Jain Films is presenting the project, which is being made in partnership with Ratpack Stories.
The actor was last seen in Mirzapur: The Movie, a spin-off linked to the Prime Video web series Mirzapur. The cast included Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Harshita Gaur and Jitendra Kumar. The story centred on a battle for control of the Mirzapur throne, in which old adversaries returned and new claimants came forward.
