Ramayana: How Meditation Helped Sai Pallavi Portray Sita

Mumbai, October 31: Sai Pallavi will soon be seen as Maa Sita in the film Ramayana. She describes the role as far more than a film assignment, calling it a deep responsibility that demands dignity in every frame.

To bring the respected character to the screen with complete grace, Sai Pallavi says she took the help of meditation. She believes the film will not be a mere cinematic experience but a piece of history that generations to come will watch.

Sai Pallavi recently visited the popular quiz reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati. In conversation with host and megastar Amitabh Bachchan, she talked about how she prepared for playing Sita. She said the role filled her with a great sense of respect and responsibility. Her main wish was that no obstacles would come in the way, so she could present the character with dignity.

According to Sai, her preparation for the role was built on prayer. She said she asked God to remove any difficulties she might encounter while portraying the character. She explained that the film being made will become part of history and will be seen by future generations and people who are not yet born. She said the character must therefore carry dignity, which is why she devoted herself to prayer.

During the shoot, meditation became part of her daily routine. It helped her keep her thoughts quiet and gave her the strength to hold herself together in difficult situations.

Sai said that without meditation, she tends to have more thoughts. That is why she meditated most of the time while playing Sita. The role taught her that in a stressful moment, one should first observe and understand rather than react instantly. Whenever she faced a challenge or a tense situation, she asked herself how Sita Maa would have responded. She said this was the most important lesson she learned from the character.

Ramayana is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Ram, while Ravi Dubey will play Lord Laxman. Sai Pallavi will appear as Maa Sita. The film is scheduled for release on November 5, and excitement among audiences is already building.
