Ramayana Part 1 Promotions Bring Diwali Fun to KBC
Mumbai, October 24: Markets are filling up and excitement is rising as Diwali approaches. Amid the festive buzz, Amitabh Bachchan has shared an amusing story from his childhood celebrations.
Speaking on the Diwali special edition of Kaun Banega Crorepati, the actor recalled that Diwali firecrackers often sparked a playful contest between neighbours.
When Ranbir Kapoor asked whether Bachchan had any memories of Diwali from his childhood, the actor smiled and said that he remembered one thing above all: if the neighbour's firecracker was loud, his own had to be louder.
His answer amused the entire set and reminded many viewers of their own childhood fireworks.
The episode also served as a platform for promoting Ramayana: Part 1. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey were present to talk about the film, which is helmed by Nitesh Tiwari and is set to hit screens worldwide on November 5.
Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios is producing the film alongside DNEG, an eight-time Oscar-winning VFX company, and Yash's Monster Mind Creations. The film has been crafted as two parts, with the second part releasing on Diwali 2027.
Drawing on Indian mythology, the movie relies on striking visual effects. The soundtrack has been created by A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer, and the film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. It will also be presented in IMAX format.
For its global release, Sony Pictures is responsible for distribution, and Dharma Productions will distribute the film in the Hindi market.
The Diwali special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati will be broadcast on October 29 and 30 on Sony Entertainment Television.
