Ramayana Buzz: Nitish Bhardwaj on Sai Pallavi, Music and Tulsidas

Ahead of the release of 'Ramayana Part 1', veteran actor Nitish Bhardwaj has returned to the subject of his earlier remarks about the film. In his previous post, he had hoped that audiences would accept Sai Pallavi as Sita.

Bhardwaj posted a screenshot from 'Mangal Rang', highlighting the line 'Main bansuri, saans tu' on Instagram. He then asked his followers whether anyone could read between the lines, a question that has prompted curiosity among fans.

The actor also explained what he wants to hear in the film. He hopes the chaupais of Tulsidas will be heard between the sounds of the mridangam and manjira. He believes this combination represents the true voice of the epic, which every Indian carries in their soul.

Music across languages

'Mangal Rang' brings together prominent singers in its different language versions. The Hindi track is performed by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal. Abhay Jodhpurkar and Saindhavi sing the Tamil version, and Raghav Kaushik and Vaishali Samant handle the Telugu version. Armaan Malik and Bela Shende are featured in the Kannada version, while Naresh Iyer and Amritha Rajan sing the Malayalam version.

Dr. Kumar Vishwas penned the Hindi lyrics. Karthik Netha, Karthik Sargur and Vinayak Sasikumar wrote the Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam lyrics respectively. The soundtrack is composed by A.R. Rahman.

Cast and release

The film is produced by Namit Malhotra and directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Ranbir Kapoor appears as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita. Yash plays Ravan, Sunny Deol is cast as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey plays Lakshman.

The first part of the film will release in cinemas across the world on November 5. The second part is planned for a Diwali release in 2027.
