Producer Dharmesh Sanghani Explains New December Release for Sumana's Romance
Producer Dharmesh Sanghani has opened up about the decision to move Study Sumana’s romance “Main Na Raha Mera” to a December release.
“The role of a producer isn’t just to create a film; it’s also to ensure it gets the best possible theatrical opportunity,” Sanghani said. “With several high‑profile titles slated for 23 October, the competition would have been intense.”
He added that after careful analysis, the team agreed that 11 December 2026 offers a more favorable environment for the movie’s emotionally driven plot and its music, which serves as a narrative backbone.
The film, directed by Amit Kasaria and starring Sumana alongside Divita Rai, features a soundtrack that includes a title track by Arijit Singh and the romantic song “Shayad” sung by Rekha Bhardwaj. The teaser has already generated buzz, and the team believes the new date will allow audiences to fully absorb the story’s nuances.
Sanghani emphasized that timing is crucial for a film that delves deep into love, heartbreak and pride, and the December slot is expected to maximize viewership and critical appreciation.
